By nature, a digital twin collects a vast amount of data and generates much more data in the virtual environment by means of analyses and simulations. Here, artificial intelligence (AI) can be of great benefit by interpreting the enormous amount of data. In the aerospace sector, it faces a wide range of challenges such as the visual detection of obstacles, the control of autonomous systems in the air, the monitoring of production processes or the general improvement of workflows. Arian Weiler, managing partner from Airport Research Center GmbH, and Raimo Jacobson, managing director from Inform GmbH, will highlight opportunities and challenges of this technology in the field of aerospace.
